Nathan Leo Gore, our beloved son, brother, father, friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The son of Geoffrey Gore and the late Sheila (Pinsonneault) Gore.  Nathan was born in Bennington on August 17,1981. A lifelong resident of Bennington, he attended local schools and was a 1999 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.    Growing up, Nathan was active in wrestling, playing baseball and football. Nate enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, and especially loved to drive. Nathan had worked in the construction business throughout his life, including caretaking, handyman work and assisting his father with his carpentry business. Nathan had a passion for cooking and also worked at the local hospital cafeteria. He was a wiz with electronic devices from cell phones to computers. Nathan will be remembered as always being a friend, caring and an animal lover.   Nathan leaves his father Geoffrey Gore and his wife Colleen (Kinney) Gore of Bennington, a son Caleb Gore and his mother Alyssa Coon of Bennington, a sister Melissa Hurley and her husband Todd of Sunderland, brother Steven Gore and Christy Bigart of Bennington, nieces Zava Gore and Kyra Hurley, a nephew Zaric Gore, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His mother Sheila Gore passed away on March 17, 2010.    Nathan’s family will hold private services to honor his life. Memorial gifts in Nathan’s memory may be made to Caleb’s educational fund with checks payable to Caleb Gore through the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
