Albert F. Kent 94, a resident of Beech Street in Manchester Center, VT, passed away peacefully Friday April 18 2025 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. Albert was born on January 15, 1931 the son of the late Albert C. and Anna (LaGrange) Kent and attended local schools. Albert enlisted in the United States Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict.After serving in the Army he worked on the construction of Bromley Mountain and was a member of the Bromley ski patrol.Then he worked as a groundskeeper for Ekwanok Country Club for over 60 years. He was a member of the Manchester VFW, an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, fishing and time spent with his family. He enjoyed following golf on television, especially Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman. Albert is survived by his children Albert (Skip) Kent (Marsha) of Mt. Tabor, Debra Colegrove (Harold) of Manchester, Ronald Kent of Danby, Robert Kent (Laurie)of Comstock, NY and Kimberly Kent (Donny) of Pawlet, VT., son-in-law Robert Andersen, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Moffitt) Kent whom he married October 18, 1952 in East Dorset and his daughter Donna Andersen. A time of visitation will be held Thursday May 1, 2025 from 4-6pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT.
