Alfred E. Field

Alfred E. Field, 87, a resident of Watkins Hill Rd in Walpole, NH, passed away November 3, 2022 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH. Alfred was born in Newfane, VT on June 8, 1935 the son of the late Frank Wilbur and Bertha E. (Gray) Field and attended local schools. Alfred worked as a purchasing agent for Putnam Hospital for many years.

He worked at Hubbard Farms in Walpole, NH, did house painting for many years and was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. His love was gardening, being out in the woods and he loved children. He enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his granddaughter, Samantha. Alfred is survived by wife Corey (McQueen) Field of Walpole, NH, son Daniel Field (Verina) of Alstead, NH, sisters Judith Mears of Bennington and Dorothy Stevens of Cambridge, NY, granddaughter Samantha Field and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Kathleen Sawyer, Teresa Field and Cynthia Cole. Alfred was a gentle, loving kind person and a great husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services for Alfred will be held Wednesday November 9, 2022 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will be held Saturday November 12, 2022 at 11am in White Chapel Cemetery. A visiting hour at the funeral home will be held from 12-1pm, one hour prior to the service.
