Andrew S. Farrell 52, better known as Andy, passed away suddenly at his home in West Arlington on Tuesday evening May 10, 2022. Born in Bennington on July 23, 1969, he was the youngest of the three children of Charles and Margaret (Main) Farrell. Andy grew up in his present home along the Battenkill River where he enjoyed fishing, boating tubing and swimming, and the covered bridge near his home was a popular place for people to enjoy the river. He attended schools in Arlington, graduating from Arlington Memorial High School in 1988. He continued his education at Castleton University where he obtained his BA in Teaching and Art. While attending college, he met Tammy Lamson. They were married in Castleton in 1992. They resided in Woodstock for a year following their marriage and then purchased the family home in West Arlington to start their family. Andy decided he did not want to teach and went to work at Mack Molding for 21 years, retiring as a Product Inspector, and then worked at the Stewart’s Shop where he became a friendly face everyone knew. For Andy his family was everything to him and he devoted as much time as he could to raising them, attending school and sporting events and made sure to take in annual camping trips. In his youth he spent summers fishing with his father. Andy had a passion for art. He loved drawing, especially comic art. He enjoyed gaming and Dungeons and Dragons with family members. His children admired him for his devotion as a husband and father, always encouraging them and supporting them in their endeavors. He leaves his wife Tammy Farrell, son Timothy Farrell, both of West Arlington, daughter Cathy Daigneault of Cambridge, NY, brother Charlie Farrell of Milton, sister Arlene Farrell of Colchester, and his niece Bailey Farrell.
