Ann L. Waters

Ann L. Waters, 67, a resident of Williamsburg Court, passed away January 23, 2015 at her home. Ann was born in Bennington, Vermont on July 4, 1947 the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Fares) Waters. She graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary class of 1965. Ann was an outstanding athlete lettering in three varsity sports. Ann was inducted in the inaugural class of 2001 Burr & Burton Hall of Fame. Ann was an outstanding golfer and a member of at Manchester Country Club where she won the Ladies Club Championship a record twenty times. Ann participated in tournaments at a local level and on the State level. She played in numerous Vermont State Womens Amateur Championships and placed fourth at Sugarbush Golf Course. Ann worked for the State of New York in Albany where she retired. She is survived by her brother Harold Waters, Jr. and his wife Betty, sister Mary Senecal and her husband Ray and cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Ann was a loving family person attending all types of events for her nieces and nephews and attending family gatherings whenever they were held. A celebration of the life of Ann L. Waters will be held Saturday February 7, 2015 at 3pm at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. Interment will be held in the family lot in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester later in the spring. A visiting hour will be held Saturday February 7, 2015 at the funeral home from 2-3pm, one hour prior to the service.
