Anna E. Betit Moffit, 79 passed away peacefully on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the Vermont Veterans Home. She was born in Manchester on December 20, 1937 to Walter and Mary (Clayton) Burke. She grew up in the Manchester area where she attended local schools. Anna was predeceased by her first husband Alfred James Betit in 1979 and her second husband Harold Moffit in 1997. She had been an active member of the Moose Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles. She leaves her children Mary Ann Sonnenfroh of Schenectady, NY, Anna Marie Betit of Whidbey Island, Washington State, Jim Betit of Argyle, NY and Jeff Betit of White Creek, NY, siblings Jane Forrest, Emma Bacon, Zane Burke and Steve Burke, eight grandchildren including a special grandson Glenn LaPorte, 13 great grandchildren , nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by brothers Roland and Gale Burke. Services for Anna will be held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 3pm at All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, VT. There is additional parking in the back of the Veterans Home for those who wish to attend. She will be buried in the Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek.
