Anthony J. Mauri Jr. of Knoxville TN passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 9th 2023. Born on November 2, 1966 in Derby Ct. to Anthony J. Mauri Sr. and Kathleen (Weiler) Mauri. Tony was a free spirit who lived life on the wild side. He loved his friends and family with all his heart. He was a talented mechanic making his living working for several municipalities in both Florida, and Tennessee. In his time off, he loved spending time riding his Harley with his wife, Dad, and friends. He was a great cook who enjoyed cooking, grilling, and smoking. Preparing meals for all to enjoy. He had a beautiful garden that he grew fresh vegetables that he used to make sauces, salsas, as well as canning vegetables to give away and to enjoy throughout the year. He also made bread for communion at the New Life United Methodist Church of Knoxville of which he had been a member since his move to Tennessee. Tony is survived by his wife Denna Mauri of Knoxville TN. He was also the loving father to his daughter Amanda (Mauri) Cole her husband Will Cole, and his 2 grandchildren Cameron and Maddie of Bennington VT. He was also loved by more family which included; His mother Kathy Mauri of Cambridge NY. His sister and her husband Robin & Lee Brownell of Cambridge NY, sister in law Monica Mauri of Bradenton FL, Kim Mauri of Tampa FL, nieces Kristin Brownell, Shannon (Brownell) Scully and her husband Jonathan, nephew Levi Brownell all of Cambridge NY. Step children Cliff Lane if Knoxville TN, Brittany Turner of Louisville KY, Nicole King of Evansville IN. His Uncle Frank Mauri of Woodstock CT who was also his God Father. Many great nieces, & nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers. The list is endless. Tony was predeceased by his father Anthony Mauri Sr., his brother James Mauri, wife Mary Mauri, Uncle Robert Weiler, Aunt Connie Mauri, his paternal grandparents James & Vincenza Mauri, his maternal grandparents Otto & Ruieta Weiler. Tony had a big heart. He connected with people in a way that friends quickly became family. In that sense his family that reached far and wide. He will be remembered forever, and missed by all who knew him. Graveside funeral services for Tony will be held Wednesday afternoon August 16, 2023 at 1pm in West Arlington Cemetery. The family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel, Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT.
