Arnold Kenneth Wilcox, 87, a resident of West Arlington, passed away Saturday January 26, 2019 at Life Care Center in New Port Richey, Florida, where he spent his winters. Arnold was born in Arlington on October 22, 1931 the son of the late Kenneth J. Wilcox and Alice Mears. He attended school in West Arlington and was a 1950 graduate of Arlington Memorial High School. Arnold started working for his father's business, Wilcox Lumber, eventually assuming ownership of the business. Arnold was an Arlington School Board member for over 20 years and was also a member of the Arlington Parks and Recreation Board, the Z.B.A.,and Ford Foundation Committee. He loved deer hunting and fishing with his friends, travelling several years over the Arctic Circle. Arnold is survived by his children Linda and Randy Pratico of Rutland, VT, John and Robin Wilcox and Terry and Perry Sweet both of West Arlington, his companion of 24 years Nina Kimball of New Port Richey, Florida, grandchildren Jeremy, Bethany and Alyssa Pratico, Amy and Jim Wilcox, Kari Crawford, Aaron and Jessica Wood and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Keough Wilcox who passed away in 1993 and his sister Marie Thompson. A celebration of life for Arnold will be held Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11am at the Chapel on the Green in West Arlington. Interment will be held in the spring in West Arlington Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Arnold's memory may be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad, c/o Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel P.O. Box 528 Arlington, VT 05250. A celebration of life for Arnold will be held Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11am at the Chapel on the Green in West Arlington. Interment will be held in the spring in West Arlington Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
