Arthur H. Moffitt

Arthur H. Moffitt, 78, a resident of Red Mountain Road, passed away Thursday October 29, 2020 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Arthur was born in Bennington on March 25, 1942 the son of the late Aubrey and Gladys Hover Moffitt and attended local schools. Arthur worked at Wilcox Lumber for many years performing many different duties. Arthur loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He loved being one with nature, enjoyed listening to country music, in his earlier years watching and following wrestling, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Arthur is survived by his brother Charles Moffitt and his wife Gloria Wilkinson Moffitt of Sunderland, VT, sisters Agnes Brewer and her husband Walter of Towanda, PA and Barbara Poulin of Brattleboro and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Aubrey and Francis Moffitt and sisters Ruth Wilcox, Mary Wilkinson and Gertrude Moffitt.
