Barbara A. Coussement, 87, formerly of Wheaton, Illinois and a resident of Equinox Terrace Road, passed away October 30, 2017 at Equinox Terrace in Manchester. Barbara was born in Hackensack, NJ on December 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Robert V. and Elizabeth (Gill) Jones. She earned her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Vermont and her Master's in education from Northern Illinois University. Barbara was a former member of the Regional Council of Illinois Education Association, was a supporter of the Lyric Opera in Chicago and a member of the Art Institute of Chicago. She loved to travel, loved Gordon Setters, was an avid animal supporter and enjoyed golfing. Barbara is survived by her nieces and nephews Michael Mascuch (Lianne Morrison), Jamie Wilson, Matthew Mascuch (Jamie), Claire Winslow (Mark), Heather Maurice, Teresa Jones (Don Parsons) and Robert Jones (Melissa). She was preceded in death her sister Margaret Mascuch and brother Robert G. Jones. A mass of Christian death and burial will be celebrated Friday November 3, 2017 at 10am at St. Paul's Catholic Church (Christ Our Savior Parish) in Manchester. Interment will be held in St. Columbans Cemetery in Arlington. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Barbara's memory may be made to your local ASPCA or the Alzheimer's Foundation, c/o of Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P. O Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
