Barbara Tyrrell

Barbara Ruth Tyrrell 85, a resident of Dunham Road, passed away November 12, 2017 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation. Barbara was born in Arlington on October 22, 1932 the daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Hastings) Wilkinson and attended local schools. Barbara worked as a Line Tender at Energizer for 29 years and earlier worked at Union Carbide and Mack Molding. Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling, music, bowling and writing songs. She played guitar and sang in local clubs with local bands. She cherished times spent with her family and would help anyone in need. Barbara is survived by her daughter Bonnie Cross of Petersburgh, NY, son James Tyrrell of East Arlington, brothers Carl Wilkinson of Hamilton, Alabama and Philip Wilkinson of Arlington, sisters Katherine Allen of Bennington and Florence Wilkinson of Wallingford, VT, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Patrick and brother Frances Wilkinson. Funeral services for Barbara will be held Tuesday November 21, 2017 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Monday November 20, 2017 from 5-7pm. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington. Following interment, there will be a pot luck dinner held at Bailey Hall at the Federated Church of East Arlington.
