Barbara I. Vince

Barbara I. Vince, 86, formerly of Pownal, passed away March 31, 2020 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. Barbara was born in North Adams, Massachusetts on March 13, 1934. Barbara was the daughter of the late William and Mildred A. Alderman Reece and attended school in North Adams. Barbara worked for Johnson Controls in Bennington for 20 years and following that was Lister for the Town of Pownal until her retirement. In her younger years, Barbara enjoyed swimming in the Cascades and dancing. After her retirement, Barbara enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, Indian Pow Wows, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family. Barbara is survived by her children, Joel W. Burrington and his wife Karen of Pownal, and Tammy L. Sohl and her husband Joseph also of Pownal, sisters Virginia Kelly of Florida, Beatrice Squires of North Carolina and Susan Arrighi of California, her granddaughter Samantha J. Sohl and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Joel G. Burrington, her second husband David L. Vince, granddaughter Kate E. Burrington and her brothers William J. Reece, Howard C. Reece, Richard Reece, Harry W. Reece and Robert Columbus. A celebration of life for Barbara will be announced and held at a later date in the spring. There are no visiting hours.
