Beatrice Straub

Beatrice Mae (Turner) Straub, originally from Bennington and a longtime resident of Hoosick Falls, passed away on October 7, 2015 at Fillmore Pond in Bennington, VT at the age of 103. She was born to the late Robert R. and Marian (Gabbitt) Turner. Beatrice was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Edward A. Straub, her grandchildren; Matthew Straub, Stan Straub, and Laura (Eddy) Pasahow, and also by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Adam A. Straub, her daughter, Marlene (Straub) Eddy, her daughter-in-law, Gloria (Dennett) Straub, and two grandsons; Edward W. Straub and Adam Eddy. She is also predeceased by her two brothers; Robert and Lloyd Turner, and her sister, Anna Barton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 1pm at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington. Visiting hours will be held Friday October 9th from 2-4pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main St in Bennington, VT where the family will be in attendance.
