Brenda M. Kerson, 50, a resident of Pawlet Mountain Road, passed away unexpectedly November 20, 2017 at her home. Brenda was born in Bennington, VT on May 26, 1967 the daughter of Daryl and Christine (Woodcock) Moffit. She attended Castleton State College, graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary in Manchester. Brenda worked in respite care for past two years, she previously worked at Northshire Medical for 15 years and Manchester Woodcraft for 13 years. Brenda enjoyed walking, loved taking care of everyone and was a very joyful person. She loved the outdoors, nature and animals. She liked to cook, listen to reggae music and the sounds of the Grateful Dead, going to the ocean, spending time on the beach and cherished times spent with her family. She is survived by her husband Jason R. Kerson of Rupert whom she married in Tinmouth, VT on September 15, 1990, children Emma, Charlotte, Jenny, And Owen Kerson all of Rupert, her mother Christine Moffit of Dorset and her sisters Susie Moffit of Indiana and Cynthia McKure of Cambridge, NY. She was preceded in death by her father Daryl Moffit. Visiting hours for Brenda will be held Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 5-7pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. A celebration of Brenda's life will be held Wednesday November 29, 2017 at 5 pm at the Eagles Lodge in Manchester. The family requests everyone attending the celebration of life on Wednesday to wear bright and cheerful clothing. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Brenda's memory may be made to the Bennington Foster Care Program, c/o Brewster- Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
