With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son Bruce Tyler Waite. He was known as Bruce to friends and Tyler to family. Tyler passed on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the age of 22. He was born December 17, 2002 to Heather (Witt) and Brett Waite. Tyler grew up in Rupert. He attended Mettawee Community School and graduated from Salem Central in 2021. Tyler was attending Vermont University at Castleton Campus.
Tyler had a big personality and was generous with his time. He loved to learn and could talk about any topic in depth. Tyler had many hobbies and was devoted not only to his family but also to his flock of chickens. He enjoyed hunting with his father and grandparents. Tyler enjoyed the outdoors, putting many miles on his snowmobile with his parents each winter. He was known for his kindness and sense of humor, he spent many hours helping his family with tech issues and mechanical concerns. Tyler was humble and a hard worker who spent countless hours working with his father and grandfather in the woods.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Brett and Heather Waite, grandparents Annmarie Witt and Arthur Witt, Jr, Bruce and Janet Waite, uncles Arthur Witt III, Robert Witt (Becky), aunt Kandace Waite Beavin (Brian). Tyler is also survived by cousins Ava, Torey, Kendra, Carson and Emersen, as well as extended family.
Please join us as we remember and share memories of Tyler on Saturday, March 29, from 2-5 at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home in Manchester, Vermont. We are also hosting a Remembrance Luncheon at the Rupert Fire House on Sunday from 12:00-3:00. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Association for Autism and Neurodiversity, aane.org.
