Carmen J. Denatale

Carmen J. DeNatale, 80 of Shaftsbury, VT was called home by the Lord on July 30, 2016. He was born in Huntington, New York on September 12, 1935. He graduated from Bay Shore High School on Long Island and went on to receive a technical degree from Farmingdale State College. After working 35 years in South Shore Refrigeration, the family business in Bay Shore, Carmen relocated to Vermont where he and his family purchased the River Bend Motel in Newfane, Vermont. After selling the motel he moved to Shaftsbury, VT and became a commercial real estate broker where he was most recently an associate with Sotheby's.He is survived by his wife, Caroline of 57 years, daughter Lori Dalene, daughter Julie Martin, son David DeNatale, and five grandchildren also two great grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington, VT. Visiting hours are at 10am followed by an 11am service. Burial will follow in the Shaftsbury Center Cemetery, Historic Route 7A.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Vermont Veterans Home-Patient Activity Fund in care of Hanson Walbridge & Shea, 213 West Main St., Bennington, VT 05201. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington, VT. Visiting hours are at 10am followed by an 11am service. Burial will follow in the Shaftsbury Center Cemetery, Historic Route 7A.
