Carole T. Moses, 73 a resident of Mt. Anthony Road passed away Wednesday August 5, 2015 at the Albany (NY) Medical Center. Carole was born in Boston on December 28, 1941, she was the only child of Charles and Vera (Turner) Buswick. She grew up in Marblehead (MA) where she graduated from Marblehead High School, she continued her education at Green Mountain College in Poultney and then Castleton Sate College where she met her husband Walter. Carole and Walter were married in Marblehead on November 10,1962. Together they enjoyed farming at the Maresnest Farm on Mt. Anthony Road where Carole was an experienced horsewoman and master at horsemanship, she loved teaching young children proper horsemanship and riding skills. She and Walter enjoyed many three day competitive horse events held throughout the Northeast. Carole had been a long-term substitute teacher at Wilmington High School and Mt. Anthony Union High School. She loved to cook and was an expert at preparing meals and food for friends and family, being a farmer she also enjoyed tending to her gardens. She leaves her husband Walter H. Moses II, son Walter H Moses III and wife Linda, their daughter Cai Moses and son Charles F. Moses all of Bennington, sister in law Gail M. Rice of Manchester Center, nephew Seth A. Rice of Manchester and niece Sara M. Silva of Northwood, England. There will be a burial service at the farm for close friends and family. Memorial gifts may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201. A time remember and celebrate the life of Carole Turner Moses will be held on Monday August 24 at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home in Bennington. The informal gathering will begin at 6pm and will conclude with friends and family sharing memories and stories of Cariole's life, everyone is invited to share a story , a photo or visit with her family.
