Carroll H. "Kay" Hescock

Carroll H. "Kay" Hescock, 90 a resident of Sheldon Hill Road died peacefully at his home on Friday February 19, 2016. The son of Charles and Agusta Hescock, he was born at home in Wardsboro on May 19, 1925. He grew up in Wardsboro where he attended the local school and married the former Jean Staples.Kay was a World War II Army veteran and had worked as a logger for many years. He later worked at Mt. Snow Ski Resort where he was well known as lift operator #9, he worked on maintenance and at the golf course during the summer months. With a passion for hunting, he and his wife retired to Norton where they lived for 20 years before returning to Wardsboro.Kay leaves his wife of 67 years, Jean Hescock, sons Richard and wife Sally Hescock and Dennis and wife Shelly Hescock all of Wardsboro, daughter Brenda Adams and husband Greg of Wilmington, grandchildren Tessa, Kevin, Jeremy and Ben, great grandchildren Ashley and Kelsey Hescock and Emmett and Samuel Adams, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Roy, Bill and Robert and 5 sisters, Alice, Edith, Rosey , Ruth and Florance.At his request there will be no funeral services.
