Catherine Davidson

Catherine R. Davidson, 89 a resident of Ellington Road died Saturday April 2, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Sheldon, VT on November 16, 1926 to the late Claude and Nellie (Perry) White. She attended schools in Berkshire, South Barre and Barre, VT. Following her marriage to Robert E. (Red) Davidson Sr. in Bellows Falls on April 11, 1973 they relocated to East Hartford. Catherine worked at the Holiday Inn there for 9 years until retiring in 1984. Her hobbies included knitting, arts & crafts and her beloved flower gardens. In addition to her husband of East Hartford, she leaves three step children Robert Davidson Jr and fiance Lisa Elliott of East Hartford, step daughters Bonnie Stansberry of Colonie, NY and Kelly Ann Davidson of East Hartford, three grandchildren Sara Ann Davidson, Christie Kissell and Shayne Robert Davidson, four great grandchildren, brother Howard Crown and wife Mary of Danville, VT, sister Caroline Marsha of Northfield, VT, brother in law David Davidson and wife Juanita of Paris, TN , nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her step mother Gertrude Lafayette and brother Loren White.Funeral services will be held on Friday April 8 at 11am at the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home , burial will follow in the family lot in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery in Brattleboro, Vt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11am. Memorial gifts may be made to the Office of Radio and Television at the Arch Diocese of Hartford in care of the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home, P.O. Box 215, Wilmington, VT 05363.
