Cecile Moffet Beaudoin, 91 a former resident of Division Street passed away peacefully on August 20, 2016 in St.Croix, Quebec. One of seven children born to Alcide and Maria (Gingras) Moffet she was born in Dosquet, Quebec on December 28, 1924. She grew up in Dosquet where she attended local schools and met her husband Leon Beaudoin whom she married on August 13, 1949, Leon predeceased her on September 8, 1999. They emigrated to the United States where they settled in Bennington and continued to raise their young family. With five children to raise, Cecile was a stay at home Mom , where she maintained a large garden of vegetables and flowers. Cecile was an accomplished seamstress , excellent cook and was well known for her homemade bread and meat pies. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the St. Anne's Society. Throughout her life she always maintained close contact with her Canadian family making numerous trips each year to visit and hosting them at her home. After living in Bennington for 52 years, she decided she wanted to return home to Quebec, Canada to live out her remaining years. She leaves her son Claude (John Terrance Gayton) of Attelboro, Mass, daughters Lisa (Mark Shea) of Bennington, Helene (Daniel Forton) of Laval, Quebec and Linda (Mark Elwell) of Virginia Beach, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters and brother: Jeanne Moffett, Emilia (feu Gérard Pételle), Annette (feu Albert Turcotte), Armand (Lucie Marois),many nieces, nephews and cousins all of Quebec, Canada She was predeceased by her daughter Ginette VanOrman. Her sister Louise Moffet (feu Gerard Cote) and her brother Paul-Emile (Simone Beland) The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Dosquet on Saturday August 27, graveside services will be held on Monday August 29 at 11am at the Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington where she will be laid rest next to her husband, Leon. Memorial gifts may be made to either the Sacred Heart St. Francis deSales School or Warm the Children Fund in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington. Au CHSLD de Sainte-Croix de Lotbiniere, est decedee paisiblement a l'ge de 91 ans et 7 mois, madame Cecile Moffet, epouse de feu monsieur Leon Beaudoin. Elle etait la fille de feu dame Maria Gingras et de feu monsieur Alcide Moffet. Native de Dosquet, elle a vecue pres de 52 ans dans la region de Bennington, Vermont (Etats-Unis) oe elle a eleve ses 5 enfants avec son defunt mari. Apres toutes ces annees passees aux Etat-Unis elle a sentie qu'il etait temps pour elle de revenir chez elle, au Canada la ou elle est nee a (Dosquet), pour y terminer sa vie tout doucement. La famille recevra les condoleances en presence du corps, en l'eglise de Dosquet, sise au 154, Rte Saint-Joseph, a Dosquet (Quebec) G0S 1H0, le vendredi 26 aout 2016 de 19h00 a 21h00; ainsi que le samedi 27 aout 2016 de 9h30 a 10h50; suivront au meme endroit la celebration des funerailles des 11h00. L'inhumation se fera ulterieurement en toute intimite au cimetiere de Bennington, Vermont (Etats-Unis). La direction des funerailles a ete confiee a HARMONIA. Elle a ete precedee dans la mort par sa fille Ginette VanOrman, sa oeur Louise (feu Gerard Cote) et son frere Paul-Emile (Simone Beland). Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Claude (John Terrance Gayton), Lisa (Mark Shea), Helene (Daniel Forton) et Linda (Mark Elwell); ses 7 petits-enfants ; ses 9 arrieres petits-enfants; ses freres et ses soeurs; Jeanne, Emilia (feu Gerard Petelle), Annette (feu Albert Turcotte), Armand (Lucie Marois); ses beaux-freres et ses belles-soeurs de la famille Beaudoin; ses neveux et nieces,ses cousins et cousines ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et ami(e)s. La famille tient a remercier le personnel du CHSLD de Sainte-Croix de Lotbiniere pour l'attention et la qualit' des soins apportes a leur mere pendant toutes ces annees.
