Charles Goodwin

Charles "Charlie" William Goodwin, 26 years old of Dorset VT passed away on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017. Charlie was born September 30th, 1991 in Red Bank NJ. Charlie and his family moved to Manchester VT in 2001. He attended Manchester Elementary School, Burr and Burton Academy and graduated from Mill River High School. He also attended CCV and Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY. Charlie worked a number of jobs, including at Stratton Mountain, Manchester Country Club and Pasta D'Atalia. Charlie loved his 2 dogs, Revis and Greta and his love of animals was displayed thru his volunteer work at Second Chance Animal Shelter. Charlie enjoyed playing numerous sports including golf, Lacrosse, Snowboarding and Soccer. Charlie is survived by his mother Carrie, Father Jim and brother Jimmy. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Bill and Claire Sliney of Sea Girt NJ and Bob and Miriam Goodwin of Upper Montclair NJ. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles Paula and Bob Planer of Rumson NJ, Ann and Rick Buhr of West Hampton NY, Mary and Tom Gossart of Portland OR, Barbara Goodwin of Providence RI, Aggie and Bob Goodwin of Sarasota Florida, Mary and Pete Goodwin of Haddonfield NJ and Liz and John Goodwin of Midlothian VA and numerous cousins. Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester from 2-4 pm this Sunday, November 19, 2017. A Mass celebrating Charlie's life will be held at Christ our Savior Parish on Monday, November 20th at 11am in Manchester. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter of Shaftsbury VT.
