Charles Hatt

Charles E. Hatt, 62, passed away unexpectedly March 22, 2017 at his home. Charlie was born in Stafford Springs, CT on October 6, 1954. He was the son of Charles E. Hatt, Sr. and Patricia Hatt. Charlie found home when came to Vermont at a young age and it was here that he started a beautiful family and developed many life long friendships. In his earlier years Charlie was very well known as a bartender at the Stratton Mountain Bears Den and in the surrounding area. He later started C Hatt Construction and worked as a general contractor for many years. Charlie loved skiing, snow boarding, good conversation, his treasured family and friends. Most of all he loved being a dad and a grandfather. Charlie is survived by Mary Hatt, sons Christopher and Connor, grandson Cash, his father and mother, brothers Bradley and Vern, and sisters Jennifer and Traci. Funeral services for Charlie will be held Monday April 3, 2017 at 11am at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester followed by a reception at The Red Fox Inn in Bondville.
