Christopher Tkal

Christopher Tkal 57 a resident of Walpole, New Hampshire passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 20, 2022 at his home. Chris was born in New Brunswick, NJ on March 30, 1964 , he was one of three sons born to Oleh and Margaret (Miller) Tkal. At a young age his family relocated to Williamstown, MA where he grew up attending local schools and graduating from Mt. Greylock High School, Class of 1982 . Following high school he entered the United States Air Force where he became a turbo prop mechanic stationed in New Mexico, after four years of service he was honorably discharged and returned to the Bennington area where he worked at Triangle PWC and NSK Steering Systems. While working in Bennington he met and married the former Lisa Cone on March 9, 1996. He accepted a position at Timken and they relocated to Lebanon, NH. Always trying to better himself, Chris transferred to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center implementing Lean management. Later he accepted a position at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene where he was currently Vice President of Operations, Quality and Patient Safety. Chris had obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Ashford University and was currently just five months from obtaining his Master Degree in Health Care Delivery from Dartmouth College. Chris was a member of Keene American Legion Post #4, a very active member of Norseland, a Viking reenactment group filled with friends and family. He played the guitar and was a member of the band “Ruff Around The Edges” (RATE), he enjoyed being on the water, especially fishing with his father and just sitting around a campfire with friends and family. He and his dog Bella had a special connection as well as his grand-dogs Sophie and Hank. He leaves his wife Lisa Tkal of Walpole, daughter Natasha Tkal and her significant other Jake Woodward. Stepchildren Jessica Pinsonneault and her significant other Jason Hektor and Nick Pinsonneault and his wife Kim. Grandchildren who he adored Sierra, Lane, Schuyler, Avery and Luke. His brothers Erik Tkal and wife Janice, Greg Tkal and wife Melissa, nephews Charlie Tkal and wife Katie and Benjamin Tkal, aunts Micheline Federman and her significant other Russel Doane and Marianne Furedi and her husband Ronnie, and his in-laws Donald and Mary Cone. Chris’ family will honor his life with private services.
