Clara Boyd

Clara Janice Boyd, 84, a resident of Fuller Hill Road, passed away September 11, 2018 at Sweet Brook Nursing Home in Williamstown, MA. Clara was born in Whitingham on May 16, 1934 the daughter of Truman and Alice (Harvey) Powers and attended local school. Clara loved her home. She enjoyed gardening and was well known for her expertise making and decorating wedding cakes. She attended the Wilton Cake Decorating School, enjoyed listening to country and gospel music and cherished times spent with her family. Clara is survived by her children Steven Boyd and his wife Deb of Whitingham, Randal Boyd and his wife Julie of Hinsdale, NH, Kent Boyd and his wife Heather of Whitingham, Tonia Martin of Worcester, MA and Bonnie Stuart of Bennington, brother Chester Powers of Marlboro, VT sister Pearl Green of Wilmington, 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hewitt Boyd whom she married February 9, 1952. A celebration of Life for Clara will be held Saturday September 15, 2018 at 4pm at the Community Church of Whitingham. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours.
