Clifford Harry Hoffman, 78, a resident of Route 7A, passed away April 13, 2017 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Cliff was born in San Diego, CA on October 25, 1938, the son of the late Harry Edward Hoffman and Clover Spurlock, and attended local schools. After serving his country during the Viet Nam era as a member of the United States Army he returned to San Diego until relocating to Vermont in 1982. He has worked many jobs, with his last as a shipping and receiving clerk in the printing industry. He enjoyed watching football and was a devoted Oakland Raider fan, and took pride in taking care of his yard and his truck. Cliff is survived by his wife Nancy LaBatt Hoffman whom he married July 18, 1964 in El Cajon, CA; daughter Tracy Penders and husband Phillip of Rutland, VT; twin sister Charlotte Spahn and husband Mervyn of La Mesa, CA; in-laws Earl and Jackie LaBatt of Arlington, and Georgia LaBatt of Danby; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of the life of Clifford Harry Hoffman will be held Saturday April 29, 2017 from 6-8pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Cliff's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, c/o Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel P.O. Box 525 Arlington, VT 05250.
