Conrad Labonte

Conrad LaBonte, 71, a resident of Readsboro, passed away April 8, 2015 at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington. Conrad was born in in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 20, 1943 the son of Conrad T. and Corinne (Letender) LaBonte. He graduated from Amherst, MA Regional High School and attended the Community College of Vermont and the Colorado School of Trades. Conrad worked as a machinist for Connective Technologies in Brattleboro and G.S. Precision in Wilmington. He also worked as Recreation Building Manager at Chimney Hill in Wilmington. Conrad attended EMT Training in Bennington and graduated from the State of Vermont Principals of Firefighting. He worked for Whitingham Ambulance Services and the Whitingham Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and any other leisure outdoor sports. Conrad is survived by his former wife Shirley LaBonte of Brattleboro, children Normajean Marchegiani and David of Readsboro, William LaBonte and his wife Karen of Wilmington and Robert Jutras and his wife Sandra of Newfane. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three siblings. At the request of the family there will be no formal funeral services.
