Constance Dufresne

Constance Dufresne, 84, a resident of Shaftsbury, VT, passed away January 14, 2024 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Connie was born in Scranton, PA on March 27, 1939 the daughter of the late Charles and Melba (Linnell) Decker. She graduated from Bennington High School and attended Castleton State College. Connie worked in the mechanical departments for Bennington Brush Company and for Energizer (Union Carbide-Eveready) for over 46 years. Connie was a voracious  reader, in her younger years loved gardening and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by her daughter Heather Dufresne of Wilmington, NC, step-son Donald Dufresne of Bennington and her step-daughter Janice Senner and her husband George of Hinsdale, MA. her grandson Hunter Browe of Wilmington, NC granddaughter Alexandra Dufresne of North Bennington, step grandson Lee Dufresne of Bennington and three step grandchildren David (Dawn) of Tennessee, Scott of Massachusetts and Geoff (Brandi) of Massachusetts and many great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Exaid Dufresne whom she married July, 1964 and her son Chad Dufresne who died in 2022.
