Constance Anne Hale, a longtime resident of Dover, passed away on December 3, at the age of 73. She will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit. She was born in Brockton MA on February 7 ,1944, the daughter of the late John and Alice(O'Neill)Hale. Connie attended Northeastern University Dental School and worked for many years in Boston and NYC as a dental assistant. She decided to move from Somerville MA to Vermont with her young son Jason in 1978 after falling in love with the state while visiting friends. Connie started working at Green Meadows school in the mid eighties and managed Chrysalis, their store in downtown Wilmington. She would later work at the Inn at Mt. Snow and Grand Summit hotel. In 2002 Connie became a Jehovah's Witness and enjoyed going to their meetings and out in service. She also enjoyed listening to the Beatles, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor and cheering on the Boston Celtics. Connie is survived by her son Jason of West Dover;her sister Bobbie and her husband Gary of Osprey, FL; her brother Vinnie and his wife Jane of Scituate, MA;and her brother Robert of Malden, MA. She was preceded in death by her brothers Eldon, John, Eugene, and Matt Hale. A memorial will be held for Connie in the spring and her ashes will be spread on the Charles River.
