Constance Digiacomo Hykys

Constance (DiGiacomo) Hykys, passed away at the Equinox Terrace Senior Living Facility in Manchester Center, VT on May 14, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born to Dante DiGiacomo and Evelina (Tancredi) DiGiacomo in New York City on July 22, 1925. Her family moved to Long Beach, NY where she attended high school and met her future husband, Conrad Frank Hykys. They were married when Conrad returned from service in the Navy in 1945. Constance (Connie) attended the Wood Secretarial School in New York City after graduating from high school. She worked as a secretary in New York City, and subsequently as a secretary/administrative assistant in the Long Beach City Hall Offices. In the 1960's, Connie and her husband managed their business ("Conrad's Pharmacy") in Island Park, NY. In 1971, Connie and her husband moved the family to Manchester Center, VT where Conrad worked at Whipple's Pharmacy. Constance lost her husband of 73 years (Conrad), when he passed away in 2018. She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert and Richard; her granddaughter Karen; and her 2 great grandchildren, Noah and Evangeline. A funeral service (for family members) honoring and remembering Constance will be held at Brewster Funeral Service, Manchester Center, VT.
