Craig Mclaughlin

d. November 7, 2018

Craig S. McLaughlin a great brother and great friend to many died suddenly on November 7, 2018 at home. A forever resident of Manchester, VT. This will not be your "typical" Obituary. Craig you were not a "typical" person. You did not follow the rules of life and maybe there aren't any. Maybe we just wanted some rules to help save you. Because this is our first "Human" obituary we down loaded an Obituary sample and guess what, the sample talked about a person named Craig who was a computer engineer...Nope!! You didn't even know where the ON button was on the computer! This sample was not to helpful so we are now following my Pittie Obituary which sounds more like you. We are much better writing an Obituary about one of our Pitties, who are loyal, friendly, ready to do anything in a moments notice, best friend and very "head" strong....Craig, this sounds just like you too!! So this should be easy, so here we go. We are sure you will be proud of what we say about you. Craig will be remembered by all as a hard worker, loyal friend and a person who would do anything asked of him. We have spent several days trying to create an Obituary that would describe Craig's life in a "nut shell." There isn't a "nut shell" big enough to describe Craig's challenges in life. We stated that Craig died suddenly, that is not true. Craig as been slowly dying for years due to his sadness that we could never figure out. As many of you know, Craig has been struggling with many challenges in his life. Some of his challenges he was strong enough to over come and many were not. Craig lived his life helping others so that he didn't have to deal with his own sadness. We have spent our lives trying to make him happy. Craig went along with us and pretended that we were making him happy. He accepted our recommendation to rescue two feral cats, we were sure this would make him happy. As we think back we think these two cats surely added some excitement to his life. We will always remember the day we tried to catch his cats so that we could "vet" them. Of course, this was our idea and Craig went along with us. It took hours to catch these two cats in the end we won but not without receiving lots of scratches!! We all laughed at each other as we looked at the cats that we had finally caught and were now in a cage. We discussed whether we should all first go to the Doctor to have our wounds tended to before we took the cats to the vet. Again, we all laughed and said "nope." A special thank you to Jason and Jake who were always available when Craig called late at night asking for help to get the cats out of a tree, 100 feet up! Now that you have passed, we will be sure to find a great home for the cats, who by the way both have the same name "Kitty Cat." Their new home will not be close to any tall trees. Now that we are writing this, maybe they did make you feel a little happy. We will miss you and talk about you all of the time and never forget your kind heart. We do however feel a sigh of relief knowing that you are now at peace with your life challenges. We could go on and on about you but there is nothing more we can say that your friends and family don't already know. So maybe I was able to describe your life in a "nut shell!" With great sorrow for the loss of a great Brother, Uncle and loyal friend to all. Edwin and Tammy Warren Richard and Terry Warren No services at this time
