Darlene M. Jacobs, 68, a resident of North Branch Street, passed away February 25, 2020. Darlene was born in Bennington on February 21, 1952 the daughter of Leroy L. and Pauline Cutler Jacobs and attended local schools. As a member of the United States Army, Darlene learned and worked as a Medical Transcriptionist and upon being honorably discharged worked in the health care industry for over 40 years crafting her trade. She was the President of the local chapter of AHDI-NEMA and a U.S Army Veteran of the Viet-Nam era. Darlene loved to travel to LasVegas, Disney World and especially to Maine. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot fan. She enjoyed listening to country music, the sounds of the Beatles, riding on motorcycles and model train sets. Darlene is survived by her sons Todd Butler and his wife Julee of Woods Cross, Utah and Michael Butler of Laredo, TX, brothers Chris Jacobs and his wife Cynthia of Shaftsbury and Greg Jacobs and his wife Cherie of Bennington, her sister Cheryl Harrington and her husband Bill of Bennington, grandchildren Nathan, Jordan, Belicia and Destiny and great grandchildren Sariah and Zoey. Funeral services for Darlene will be held Saturday March 7, 2020 at Noon at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will be held in the spring in Woodford Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held at the funeral home from 11-12, one hour prior to the service.
