Darlene Caroline Oldham

Darlene C. Oldham, 64, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on January 16th, 2025 at her residence.

Darlene was born in Bennington, VT on January 3rd, 1961 to the late Leroy E. and Caroline J. (Pratt) Oldham. She attended local schools and was employed as a housekeeper for assisted living facilities.

Darlene was a very selfless person. She dedicated her life to helping those who were less fortunate than she was and never judged anyone for not being well off. She loved country music and her family will always hold memories of her dancing and singing “Help Me Make It Through The Night” dear to them. Darlene enjoyed spending her time with her family. Her mom, Caroline, was her rock. Darlene will be remembered for her sense of humor and dedication to helping others better their lives.

Darlene is survived by her siblings; Leroy Oldham (Kay) and Thomas Oldham, both of Bennington; her nieces, Kay Oldham-Corey, of Bennington, Karen Smith, of North Bennington, Karey Greene, of Shaftsbury, Heather Tobin, of Wallingford; her nephews, Leroy W. Oldham Jr, of Tennessee, Joel J. Oldham, of New Hampshire, Buddy E. Oldham, of New Hampshire, Zackary K. Oldham, of Shaftsbury. Darlene is also survived by her great nieces; Stephanie Corey, Tiffany Bacon, Kendra Greene, Chloe Greene, Paizley Oldham, Phebe Oldham, Danica Gavin, and Aubrea Brown; her great nephews, Joe Corey, Michael Greene III, Preston Oldham, Skyler Oldham, Travis Oldham, Damian Brown, Brodie Loveland, Braxton Loveland and Chanler Gavin. Darlene is also survived by many extended family members.

Darlene was predeceased by her sister, Charlene “Shoogie” Oldham; her nephew, Kevin Oldham; great niece, Clarissa E. Bacon; and a great nephew, Bo-Curtis Bacon.

Services for Darlene will be announced at the convenience of the family.
