On Friday, December 4, 2015, Dave (John David) Pinder unexpectedly left this Earth. A devoted husband, terrific father, and much loved member of his community, Dave was born in Lachine, Quebec on February 1, 1959. He was the son of John Alan Pinder (deceased) and Cecile Pinder-Schneider currently of Londonderry, NH.Dave grew up in Londonderry, NH where he developed his love of all sports and his lifelong passion for skiing. He attended Trinity High School in Manchester, NH and graduated from the White Mountain School in Bethlehem, NH in 1977. Dave followed his love of skiing, especially racing, to Colorado where he attended the University of Denver. He later moved to Vail where he met the love of his life, Lindsey Tuttle. They returned to New England and were married in 1986. Dave and Lindsey were blessed in May, 1991 by the addition of their daughter, Mia, who immediately became the joy and light of Dave's life.Dave's belief in living life to its fullest not only contributed to his love of sports but also to his strong work ethic. He held a variety of positions in both the ski and hospitality industries in New Hampshire and Vermont. Eventually, he and Lindsey settled in Manchester, Vermont where they owned and operated the Bromley Market. In 2010, Dave accepted the position of Director of the Bromley Outing Club. This job became the third love of his life. There, he was able to combine his passion for skiing with his commitment to community and interest in mentoring young people.Dave touched many lives with his outgoing personality, quick wit, and positive attitude. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family members, including: Lindsey's Mom, Cornelia ("Bubsy"), of Manchester Center, VT; Lindsey's brothers, Bart and Buck, respectively of Sharon and Dorset, VT; his sister, Susan Pinder, of Jacksonville, VT; his mother, Cecile Schneider; his daughter, Mia Pinder, and loving wife, Lindsey Tuttle-Pinder, of Manchester Center, VT; and his sidekick, Duke.A Celebration of Dave's life will take place on December 12 at the Bromley Main Base Lodge, beginning at 3:30 PM. It will include an informal service led by Pastor Margaret of the Peru Congregational Church.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mia Pinder Trust Fund, P O Box 775, Manchester Center, VT 05255 A Celebration of Dave's life will take place on December 12 at the Bromley Main Base Lodge, beginning at 3:30 PM. It will include an informal service led by Pastor Margaret of the Peru Congregational Church
