Debra Kilburn

Debra Kilburn passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 12th at her home in Albany, NY. Debra was born August 7, 1963 in Saugerties, NY and received her education in the local schools. She was a lifelong resident of New York although she often spent time in Vermont with family. She married Christofis Georgiou in Manchester, Vermont in 1990 and gave birth to their son Costandinos, fondly known as Coz, the following year. Debra was predeceased by her husband, Christofis. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ted and Edith Kilburn, and her nephew Dakota Kilburn, all of Manchester, Vermont. She is survived by her son Coz of Brunswick, NY, her brothers Doug Kilburn and wife Cynthia and Dan Kilburn and wife Maisie, all of Manchester, VT, Don Kilburn of New Jersey, and sister Darlene Marcotte of Florida. She is also survived by her niece Heather Beaudry and nephew David Kilburn, both of Manchester, VT. Debra and her husband were both avid cooks and loved discussing recipes, shopping for perfect ingredients and creating amazing dishes for family and friends. In recent years Debra greatly enjoyed her work at Honest Weight Food Co-op and had great respect for the staff and customers there. Debra loved hiking, kayaking, riding her bike and just being in the great outdoors, sharing time with friends. She leaves behind her childhood friend Denise and husband John. In more recent years she has spent countless happy hours with her friends Marilyn, Roberta, Lynne and Rain. All are welcome to meet at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Lark Street in Albany, NY on Dec. 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM for a time to gather with the service to celebrate Debra's life at 1:30. Burial will be in the spring at Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester, VT at the convenience of the family.
