Denis Rice

Denis R. Rice, 67 a resident of Berwal Road passed away August 4, 2015 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Denis was born in Hastings, New York on June 28, 1948 the son of the late David R. Rice, Sr. and Dorothy Rudolph and attended local schools. Denis worked as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach in Rye, New York for thirty-two years. Denis loved the outdoors and was a true outdoorsman. He was an avid fly fisherman and was a fly fishing instructor. He loved nature, hiking, photography, his dog and companion Gus and was an avid reader. Denis is survived by his wife Ilona Rice of Arlington, his brother David Rice, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Marco Island, Florida and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Denis will be held Thursday August 6, 2015 at 2pm at the Federated Church of East Arlington. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire.
