Donald Legacy

Donald Legacy 85 a longtime resident of Bennington passed away peacefully at home in Central, South Carolina . The son of Edward and Ruth (Jepson) Legacy, he was born in Bennington on January 25, 1932 , he grew up in North Bennington where he attended the North Bennington School. Don was married to Ida Foster on November 17, 1951, she passed on September 10, 1994. Don had worked for 28 years at the former Polygraphic in North Bennington and then 10 years at U.S.T. , he retired March 25, 1994. Don enjoyed working , following retirement he worked for Wal Mart in Bennington for 15 years and upon relocating to South Carolina worked at the store in Lexington for move than four years. In his leisure time, Don enjoyed walking and following the Boston Red Sox. He leaves his sons Jeff Legacy of Alabama, Bruce Legacy of Central, SC , grandchildren Kaylor Duval of Bennington, Sydney Legacy and Jeff Legacy Jr. both of Central, SC and Heather Legacy of Massachusetts, Nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Gerald and Edward Legacy Jr. and sister Beverly Satterlee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 5 at 11am at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, visitation is from 10-11. Burial will follow in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
