Doris Theresa Cloutier

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Doris Theresa Cloutier of Bennington, VT on October 3, 2024. Doris was born in Stewartstown New Hampshire on September 22, 1946. Doris enjoyed playing Yahtzee, going to BPI and reading the Bible. She leaves behind her children, Richard and Dolores Thornton of Naugatuck, CT, Donna and Mark Leone of Manchester, CT, Michael and Cheryl Thornton of Roseau, MN, and two sisters, Laurette Cloutier of Terryville, CT and Jeannette Estus of Portland, OR and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Priscilla Lupien and her father, Luciene Cloutier, her three brothers, Roland Cloutier, Henri Cloutier, and Dennis Cloutier. She was also predeceased by her son, James Everett Thornton, and her granddaughter, Catherine Marie Thornton. Special thanks to her adopted daughter/friend Bridget Gallant for her help and compassion and to the Bennington Project Independence staff for their dedication and support. Services for Doris will be private and at the discretion of the family.
