Dorothy Elaine Lang Reynolds

Dorothy Elaine Lang Reynolds, 91 passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Bennington, VT surrounded by her family. The daughter of Frederick J. and Ella Mae (Towns) Lang, Elaine was born in Thomson, New York on February 24, 1925. She graduated from Schuylerville High School and married Edward Deal Reynolds on November 18, 1945. They met at her brother Gene's wedding where she was maid of honor and he was best man. He predeceased her on February 18, 1999. During World War II she worked in the GE plant in Fort Edward, NY assisting with the war effort. Elaine resided in Belleville, NJ and following her retirement from Continental Insurance Company returned to Jacksonville, Florida where she and Ed were active in many charitable organizations. She was a member of Ribault Chapter #195 Order of the Eastern Star in Florida and Past Matron of Belleville Chapter #109 in Belleville, NJ. Elaine was also a member of the Hannah Dustin Chapter of 17th Century Colonial Dames. She attended Palms Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Elaine leaves her daughter, Suzanne Elaine Reynolds Brady and husband James Brady of Shushan, NY, son Edward Walter Reynolds and wife Myriam Caicedo Reynolds of Lowgap, NC, brother Richard Edwin Lang of Citrus Springs, FL, sister in law Mary Jane Reynolds of Saratoga Springs, NY, grandchildren Edward Robert Reynolds, Kevin Michael Reynolds, and Kaitlyn Suzanne Reynolds Lewis and husband Brian, great grandchildren Meagan Teresa Lewis and Brantley Dean Lewis, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Eugene Frederick Lang (Gloversville, NY) and sister in law Maria Soledad Huareez Iriburren Lang ( Citrus Springs, FL). Services will be held at a later date in Jacksonville Fl ,where she will be interred with her husband of 54 years, Edward Deal Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201. Services will be held at a later date in Jacksonville Fl ,where she will be interred with her husband of 54 years, Edward Deal Reynolds.
