Dorothy Jean Chandler Kennedy

Dorothy Jean Chandler Kennedy went Home to the Lord on May 22, 2016. She was born February 18 1933 to Lester and Leta Chandler in Plainview, Texas. She raised her family in Plainview and then lived and worked in Tucumcari, NM from 1977 to 2014. She was very active in church and Sunday School all her life. She enjoyed her large collections of dolls and salt and pepper shakers and crafts. In the summer of 2014, Dorothy transplanted to Vermont to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Dorothy was very thankful for the friends and Tucumcari Senior Center that made it possible for her to stay in her own home for as long as possible. She is predeceased by one son, Wayne; both parents, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Roland Bugbee; four granddaughters, three grandson-in-laws, four great granddaughters; sister, Gae Chandler; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.Service and burial will be at the cemetery in Kress, TX on June 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tucumcari Senior Center, P.O.
