Dorothy Kent

Dorothy C. Kent, 78, a resident of East Dorset, passed away April 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Manchester, VT on May 15, 1939 the daughter of the late Karl and Dora Brace Bovey and attended local schools. Dorothy loved her home and cherished times spent with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and lottery tickets, watching soap operas and game shows and for many years made Christmas wreaths for the Vermont Wreath Company. Dorothy is survived by her children Ricky Kent and his wife Lori of Danby, Terrie Brzoza and her husband Anthony of Ludlow, VT, Nancy Hoffman and her husband Carl of Danby, Sally Martinez of Danby and Amanda Guardado and her husband Oscar of East Dorset, her daughter-in-law Melanie Kent of East Dorset, her close cousin Catherine Perry of Manchester, grandson Jamie Kent and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Kent whom she married June 20, 1959 in Manchester and her son Frank Kent. A celebration of the life of Dorothy C. Kent will be held Saturday April 28, 2018 at 3pm at the South Wallingford Grange. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. Kent will be held Saturday April 28, 2018 at 3pm at the South Wallingford Grange. Interment will be private.
