Dorothy L. Stanley Morse

Dorothy L. Stanley Morse, 72, a resident of Valentine Street passed away January 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Greenwich, NY on October 12, 1946 the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Cole Bennett and attended local schools. Dorothy worked for Catamount Diers and for Benmont Paper for many years. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge, enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles and cherished times spent with her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband Michael T. Morse whom she married February 14, 2001, children Connie Friend and her husband Edward of North Bennington, Lewis T. Stanley, Jr. and his wife Ronna of Orwell, VT, Peter Stanley and his wife Cheryl of Cambridge, NY, Shelly Stanley of Rutland, VT and Roxanne Willet of Bennington, step-daughters Tina Marie Morse of Utica, NY and Kimberly L. Washington and her husband Richard of Hoosick Falls, NY, siblings Marie Bennett of Greenwich, NY, Edward Bennett and his wife Kathy of Saratoga Springs, NY, Joan Cestaro of Glens Falls, NY, George Bennett of Potsdam, NY Donna Bennett of Corinth, NY, Duane Bennett of Saratoga Springs, NY, John Bennett and his wife Kathy of Saratoga, NY and Linda Harrington of Broad Albin, NY, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lewis Stanley who died August 12, 1995, and her sister Vivian Kuef. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Tuesday January 15, 2019 at 11am at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery.
