Duysa Lobanoff, 94 passed away peacefully at Equinox Terrace on Tuesday evening July 19, 2016. Mrs. Lobanoff was born in Riga, Latvia on February 14, 1922, she emigrated to the United States with her husband Arthur Petry and son Andy in 1949. They settled in Brooklyn , Mrs. Lobanoff had lived in Long Island, California and Manchester, prior to returning to Manchester, recently she had resided in Texas near her son John. Her former husband Arthur passed away in 1977, she married Valentine Lobanoff in 1972, he died in 1985.Mrs. Lobanoff was an accomplished ballerina and avid Bridge player. She loved to cook Latvian dishes for her family and her favorite three words were "eat, eat ,eat !". Traveling, gardening and knitting were her favorite past times. She leaves her sons Thomas Petry of Manchester Center, John Petry of Magnolia, Texas, step sons Gregory and Andre Lobanoff, grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Michael, Alison, Alec, TJ and Tyler Petry, great grandchildren Bailey, Cannon, Andy and Emma Petry, Noah and Kayla Reynolds In addition to her husbands , she was predeceased by her son Andy.Funeral services will be held on Wed. July 27,2016 at 11:00 am, at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, West Pawlet, VT, A gathering at Tom and Pam Petry's home following Mass. Funeral services will be held on Wed.
