Edith M. Kilburn, 91, a resident of Lorette Avenue in Manchester Center, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Edith was born in Manchester Depot, the daughter of Eugene and Bessie (Lyons) Bushee. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of over seventy years, Ted Kilburn. She attended Burr & Burton Seminary. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Rosary Society in Glasco, New York. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Glasco Gun Club. She enjoyed playing pinochle, painting, puzzles, baking, sewing and knitting. Edith's true passion was her family. She was always very involved in her children's activities including Little League Baseball, Boy Scouts and 4-H. Edith is survived by her children, Douglas Kilburn and his wife, Cynthia of Manchester Center, Vermont; Donald Kilburn and his wife, Lynn of Highland, New York; Darlene Marcotte of Palm Bay, Florida; Daniel Kilburn and his wife, Maisie of Manchester Center, Vermont; and Debra Kilburn of Albany, New York; her grandchildren, Heather Beaudry and her boyfriend Stuart Hamilton; David Kilburn and his wife Stephanie; Costandinos Georgiou and his girlfriend Livia Ribeiro da Silva; and great-grandchildren Tucker Daniel Kilburn and Deirdre Dakota Kilburn. She is also survived by her sisters, Eunice Rice of Rotterdam, New York; Eva Lampron of Bennington, Vermont; Evelyn Larson of Bomoseen, Vermont; and her sister-in-law, Marguerite Bushee of Manchester Center, Vermont and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents, her brothers, Clarence Bushee and Richard Bushee and her sisters, Marjorie Bushee and Gladys Hoard, sons-in-law, Christofis Georgiou and Karl Marcotte, and grandson, Dakota "Cody" Kilburn, predeceased her. A Catholic mass for Edith will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10 am on Friday, December 9, 2016. Interment will follow in the family lot in Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester Village, Vermont. Following the burial there will be a gathering for family and friends at the VFW in Manchester Center, Vermont. The family will have visiting hours to be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4 pm and 7 pm at Brewster and Shea Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, Vermont. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Edith's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice, c/o Brewster and Shea Funeral Services, PO Box 885, Manchester Center, Vermont 05255. A Catholic mass for Edith will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10 am on Friday, December 9, 2016. Interment will follow in the family lot in Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester Village, Vermont.
