Edwin Harry Provost Jr.

Edwin Harry Provost Jr. 60 a resident of Bennington passed away on Thursday evening April 9, 2020 at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. The son of Edwin H. and Constance B. (Cumm) Provost Sr., he was born in Plattsburg, NY on March 8, 1960. He was a graduate of 1977 Willsboro Central School in Willsboro, NY. He was married to Shane E. Coon on June 17, 1989 . Throughout his life he had been self employed as a carpenter, he also worked at Triangle PWC from 1983 until 1991 and as a Lead technician at NSK Manufacturing from 1991 until 2001. Ed’s declining health forced him stop working. Before his illness, Ed enjoyed doing home projects and archery , he later loved working on his computer and the company of his service dog Castiel. Ed leaves his wife Shane Provost of Bennington, brother Scott Provost and wife Bonnie of Palm Harbor, Florida, step sons Maurice of North Dakota , Darryl of Bennington and Phillip of Bennington, nephews Makana and Nakoa Provost. Graveside funeral services for Ed will be held on Tuesday April 14 at noon at the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery.
