Eileen Cantrell

Eileen E. Cantrell, 68, a resident of Yeaw Road, passed away January 14, 2017 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Eileen was born in Hartford, CT on October 18, 1948 the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary E. (Ellsworth) Kerry. She received her education in South Windsor, CT schools, graduating from Weaver High School in Hartford. Eileen loved flower gardening and making and distributing Christmas cookies. She enjoyed traveling, listening to pop music and was an avid New England Patriot and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed following the UCONN women's basketball team. She enjoyed her home and cherished times spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Eileen was precious and treasured by her immediate and extended family. She is survived by her husband Lonnie J. Cantrell whom she married in Hartford, CT on October 27, 1971, her son Josh Cantrell and his wife Mary of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren Ayla and Lily and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her daughter Charmaine Cantrell who died in 1977, brothers John H. Bancroft and Thomas J. Kerry, Jr and sisters Mary Schultz and Helen Fry. Funeral services for Eileen will be held Saturday January 21, 2017 at 11am at the East Dover Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in Dover Center Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Eileen's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, c/o Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 215 Wilmington, VT 05363. Funeral services for Eileen will be held Saturday January 21, 2017 at 11am at the East Dover Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in Dover Center Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
