Elizabeth M. Walden Lauzon, 86 a former resident of Pownal passed away July 18, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, she had recently been residing in North Adams. Mrs. Lauzon was born in North Adams on December 13, 1928, she was the daughter of Harry and Beatrice (Murray) Walden. She had worked at Cornish Wire and owned Bette's Coffee Shoppe on Spring Street in Williamstown from the early 70's to 80's until she and her late husband Richard D. Lauzon established the Pine Hollow Campground in Pownal. The campground is still being operated by her son Ronald R. Lauzon and daughter in law Rachel, she also leaves 3 granddaughters Tonya Lauzon (Ron) Lindsey, Renee Lauzon (David) Toth , Rebecca Lauzon (Jerry) Jasperson , great grandchildren Tori Lindsey, Max Lindsey, Tyler Toth, Sarah Toth and Sawyer Jasperson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings Marshall Moon, Russell Moon, Bernice Moon Walker, Beatrice Walden and Julia Walden Dwyer. There will be a time to celebrate the life of Bette on Saturday August 15 at 2pm at the Pine Hollow Campground, 342 Pine Hollow Road in Pownal, VT , all are invited to come and share memories and enjoy light refreshments.
