Estelle M. Dussault

Estelle M. Dussault a former resident of Union Street passed away in her sleep on Saturday July 24, 2021 at Crescent Manor Care Center at the age of 90. The daughter of Arther and Marie Gaillardet-Dussault, she was born in Weymouth, MA on October 3, 1930. She grew up in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School, she continued her education at Pierce Secretarial School in Boston. For many years Estelle had worked for the New York Life Insurance Company, after retiring from there she relocated to the Bennington area where she became the office manager for Dr. Nancy Burns. Estelle enjoyed ballroom dancing and took lessons at Arthur Murray’s Dance School, she became an accomplished dancer and went on to become a dance instructor with her own instructor Don Mason (Mackenzie). Together they taught many young pupils the joy of dance. She took an interest in her Native American heritage, obtaining information about the customs and history , she had attended and participated in many Pow Wows over the years. She was known to be a super fun person to be around, she loved children and was known to spoil them especially her nieces and nephews since she had no children of her own. Estelle liked to sing and dance and the company of her two dogs Banner and Foxie. Estelle was pre-deceased my siblings Marie E. Dussault-Janelle of Bennington, Irene L. Dussault -Naeher, of Bennington, Joseph A. Dussault of Maine Bertha A. Dussault of Maine. She leaves her nieces and nephews including Lucille White of North Bennington, Lawrence Tirrell of North Bennington, Linda Thorne and family of Tampa, FL, Melissa Williamson and husband John of Shaftsbury, Louise Dussault L’esperance of Maine, Paul Dussault of Maine and Helene Dussault Pawlick of Michigan as well as loved nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Life will be conducted on August 16 at 10am on the grounds of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home , those attending are asked to wear a mask.
