Evelyn Mae Miller

Evelyn Mae Miller, 91, formerly of the Meadows, passed away September 26, 2021 at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Evelyn was born in East Dorset, VT on September 16, 1930 the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Reed) Butler and attended local schools. Evelyn enjoyed playing bingo, tag sales, traveling, jigsaw puzzles and crafts. Evelyn is survived by her niece Laura McNamara of Brooklyn, NY, and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Miller, whom she married August 7, 1953 in Peru, VT. Mr. Miller passed away August 18, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Loren, Rich, Clayton and Channey Butler, sisters Bessie Kinsella and Glennie McNamara and her niece Janet Perina. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home, 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Saturday October 9, 2021 from 11am to1pm, 2 hours prior to the service.
