Frances Whitaker

Frances S. Whitaker, 62, a resident of North Road, passed away August 4,2015 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Frances was born in Bennington on September 7, 1952 the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Hosley) Sheldon. She attended Manchester schools, graduating from Burr & Burton.Frances worked as a Real Estate Broker for many years. She enjoyed camping, shopping, and traveling locally. She enjoyed line dancing, was an animal lover mostly of dogs and cats and loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband Bruce Whitaker of Arlington whom she married in Rutland, VT on May 18, 2002 and her extended family of friends.At the request of the family there is no formal funeral service. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont from 5-7pm when the family will be in attendance. If friends desire, memorial gifts in France's memory may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center Patient Resource Fund, c/o Brewster & Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, Vermont 05255. The family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. At the request of the family there is no formal funeral service.
