Frank J. Kent, 54, a resident of East Dorset, passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Bennington, VT on August 31st, 1963, the son of Walter and Dorothy Bovey Kent and attended local public schools. Frank worked as a Mill Operator for Danby Quarry Corporation, retiring after 30 years of service. He was an avid animal lover, enjoyed deep sea fishing with his father, hunting, listening to country music, driving backroads, and above all else, spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Melanie Kent (Cole) of East Dorset, whom he married in Chippenhook, VT on June 8th, 1991, his mother Dorothy Kent of East Dorset, VT, daughter Felicity Grenier and her husband Roger of Derby, VT, Kendra Juarez and her husband Mario of Arlington, VT and Lindsey Uchytil and her husband Nathan of Troy, NY, his brother Rick Kent and his wife Lori of Danby, VT, sister Terrie Brzoza and her husband Tony of Ludlow, VT, Nancy Hoffman and her husband Carl of Danby, Sally Kent-Martinez of Danby, VT and Amanda Guardado and her husband Oscar of East Dorset, VT, grandchildren Jacob, Oliver and Chloe and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Kent and beloved dog, Wally. Although there will be no visiting hours, a celebration of life for Frank J. Kent will be held on Sunday April 8th 1-4pm at the Manchester Center VFW.
